The usual suggestion is to run RTVDSKINF - can be long-running.

Another possibility is to use QShell

qsh cmd('ls -l > /qsys.lib/vern.lib/ls255.file/ls255.mbr')

puts the contents of your current directory into physical file vern/ls255(ls255)


qsh cmd('ls -lR > /qsys.lib/vern.lib/ls255.file/ls255.mbr')

goes down the directory tree and puts the contents in that member.

NOTE: The full path is not listed on each entry, only in a heading for each directory - there might be a way to get it in each line but I'm not sure.


Finally you can always use Windows Explorer and sort on size or use the DIR command in a command prompt, just like the QShell example.
