Probably something like this:

update ITEMMAST set HRZDAY = 'etc' where PT# in (select PT# from FILE#2
where MODELCD = 'BH01')

I struggle with some of this SQL (Interactive).

I want to set a specific Horizon Days value, in certain records only,
in my Item Master file. I need to fetch a second file, also keyed by
the PT#, and check a MODEL CODE contained there. Only when that Item
Master Part number record HAS A MODEL CODE = to "BH01" in that field
in the 2nd file - THEN that is when the Horizon days field in the Item
Master file should be set to the specific value.
