That being said, I have heard (but didn't actually try it) that as of V5R3
you can put a JPEG right into DDS without going through all this as long
as
the JPEG is on the IFS.  I would definitely look into that before going
the
route I did above.



That is what I was hoping would exist, but wasn't in my V5R2 DDS manual.  I
should have thought to check newer versions online before posting the
question.

I assume I'll still need PSF/400 even though this is an *IPDS printer
