I was asked the feasibility of adding b&w thumbnail images of each product
to customer invoices. I've never had the need to print images from DDS in
the past, so this is new territory for me.

It would appear that I need to take the existing jpeg thumbnails and
transform them using a PC program to AFP "page segments", then transfer
those to the iSeries. Then in the PRTF, use the PAGSEG() to place them on
the page. Is this correct? Or is there another method?

The DDS manual also states "A maximum of 10 page segments can be used per
page." Huh? Does that mean I could not have more than 10 thumbnails appear
on a page?  Ouch.

And then I'd have to convert all the record format space/skip before/after
values to use POSITION() instead?

Currently the print file is *IPDS, but it would have to become *AFPDS and
they would need to license PSF/400 too in order to print these. Correct?
What is the cost of PSF/400 for a P05 sized 270?

Does this become very resource intensive on the 270?
