RE: 2757 Controller Card

For the 2780 with a cache card, your HW config will look like this in
SST.

Description                     Model    Name       Location    
  Storage IOA                   2780-001 P84        CB1-C12     
  Storage IOA                   5708-001 P90        CB1-C15     

The 2780 is the primary, the 5708 is the backup.

For the 2757, I don't know what the FC is for the backup card as
represented in SST - but if you go look at the tail end of your system
and pop a cover, you will see a rainbow-colored cable connecting the two
SCSI cards to each other.  One of the cards will have the disks and
rainbow cable connected, and the other will just have the rainbow cable
connected to it.  That's what the backup cache card looks like
in-person.

The redbook knows.  There's charts inside.

When you read that redbook, there's charts about specific disks which 
answer some of your query - however, not sure where you'd find an 
official "I/O per second sustained" number.  The more cache the

better.

I'd recommend the 2780 with cache backup - if you lose that much cache

in a failure, you're basically guaranteed a reload.
