Ok, I checked this and there is no SMTP information

User ID/address does not exist in SMTP table. Press Enter to
add, F12 to ...

Any other ideas??
I have gotten SNDDST to work on other machines in the past
And I know I need to quite using SNDDST (some day)
But I can't for now, so I really have to figure this one
out.

I am open to any suggestions anyone has

Vicki

Just guessing here, if you display your directory entry for
INTERNET
SMTPRTE, then do F19 to Display name for SMTP do you see:

SMTP user ID . . . . . . INTERNET
SMTP domain . . . . . . . SMTPRTE

If so take option 2 on the directory entry to change, then
F22 to Remove
name for SMTP.

Jonathan,

Thanks for the reply but....
A) I already have an entry for my user id
B) It's not the "From Address" that is wrong It is the "To
Address"
INTERNET@SMTPRTE

When I send an email to john@xxxxxxxxxxx our email server
receives the
email with "To Address" as INTERNET@SMTPRTE

I am trying to figure out what can cause the To Email
Address" to be
changed

Hi Vicki

You can use the system alias table to modify the email
address that the
message is sent from. Use CFGTCPSMTP to get the SMTP
configuration menu
and then select option 1 to work with the System Alias
Table.
You can then add
an entry for your User ID and System.

All the best

Jonathan

We have SMTP configured on our AS/400 V5R1 Our Mail Server
gets the
email, but rejects it because the To email address is
INTERNET@SMTPRTE

Anybody know what I have configured incorrectly causing the
400 to
change the to email address??

AS400:
SNDDST TYPE(*LMSG) TOINTNET((vicki@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx))
DSTD(A) MSG('Test snddst subject') LONGMSG('Long message')
