I have a series of CPYF to build a work file. On one of them, it bombs
saying dup key issue, but I can't seem to find the exact record that is
the culprit. IOW, the TO portion of the CPYF is a Unique key.

Run DSPPFM over the resultant work file; it is displayed in arrival sequence, I think. So the last record would be the one of which a duplicate was trying to be created.

By the way, isn't the original file keyed like the work file? But you did say "a series" so it could be that Record 1 in File A is a duplicate of Record 45 in File C. I had a similar problem with some history files going back about five years. Besides using the DSPPFM, I also looked at the job log to determine which of the old history files caused the dupe.
