On a V5R2 machine it is 2518 long - fields are now variable-lengthand the text field is Unicode, so double the physical size of normalcharacter fields. The variable-length would account for the extra 6bytes, as each field has an additional 2-byte integer at the frontthat has the length of the contents. It does not account for theoff-by-one sympton you describe, tho'.

Did someone do a CPYF *NOCHK maybe? At any rate, see what the fieldsare in the version in QSYS and make that the basis for all the others.

System the records looked ok but on the new system it looks like It has
trash in the last 2 places of the 2nd and 3rd fields. In fact the last
byte of the 2nd field is the first letter of the 3rd field.
