Thanks for your answer.

Some weeks ago there was a discussion on this list about the problem
that RGZPFM had when a file was saved while the command was running. I
was wondering what effect the "Suspend" option of the command would have
on the save. The only problem is that this option is only available
under Ops Nav. I would like to have a CL that suspend any RGZPFM running
and, after that, performs the save.

You can run the actual RGZPFM command using the QCMDEXC, QCAPCMD, or
system() API.  You didn't say why you want an API for this, but...
will that work?
