Re: Problem with spool.

SQL gurus might do something like this:

Select item, amt from itemtrans
where item in 
(select item, sum(amt) from itemtrans
group by item
having sum(amt)>1000000)

That "having" allowing you to do selection on subtotals.
Performance wise, I guess you could call it a two pass method.
