RE: Sending an Email From AS400

If you're only sending a single email a day, then why not use MSF on AS/400?
It's not hard to set up and it's free.  In the Info Center, there is a very
detailed set of pages on how to configure it and track errors as well.  I've
used MSF on AS/400 for years and it's like configure it once and then forget
it.  It's much easier to use and configure than the java tools out there
(especially if you don't know java) and it's cheaper than the vendor
products.

We have no interest in using the AS400 as our mail server.  This will likely
be the only message that it will ever send.  We are trying to accommodate a
SOX request that our AS400 email our admin group stating the a CL file
completed successfully.  One email, once per day. RH
