I've used Terminal Server running under Windows 2003 Server before. I
had the client app of Terminal Server installed on my laptop and we had
the Server Portion setup on a dedicated "Terminal Server" machine
running windows 2003 server. Each user had a session configured for
them on the "Terminal Server" machine that they could log into using the
client on their PC/Laptop.

If I understand correctly, the thin client has a hardwired version of
this Terminal Server Client that allows the user to log in to their
session on the "Terminal Server" machine.

Subject: Re: Terminal Server & CLI clients

I guess after some reading on this at MS, and the
comments Jim Franz made, I have a clearer understanding
of the subject.

What I found interesting, is that terminal server runs
"under" W/2003 Server, so it's just another layer in
the server software.

Thanks for your comments...
