Alrighty then! I propose that henceforth and forevermore the interface

I will however only accept the replacement of the 'green screen' name if all who read here promise to no longer use such equally antiquated terms

System i family.

Deal, or no Deal?

Small problem of confusion with the already existing IBM acronym ENPTUI (pronounced just like your proposal). Search Google for ENPTUI. From which we can extrapolate that if Enhanced Non-Programmable Terminal User Interface exists then a non-enhanced interface must also exist which would be described by removing the "E" from the acronym giving NPTUI. Thus:
        - NPTUI = n-patooey (short N sound)
        - ENPTUI = en-patooey (long N sound)

which while acceptable in print is probably too subtle a sound distinction for many English speakers.

Simon Coulter.
