I know that this problem is regularly solved on Midrange but I cannot find the answer in the Archives. I am clearly not asking the correct question.

I have just installed from scratch, apart from the LIC, V5R1 on a 250 and applied the latest PTF's. Quite separately, my PC, although switched on, was doing nothing in particular. When I was out of the room, Windows XP Pro, in its wisdom, decided to restart the PC, and when I came back told me it couldn't restart because Windows XP Pro was corrupted. I tried without success to repair the problem and had to re-install XP and all the rest. This did not improve my blood pressure!

I cannot map a network file from the PC to an IFS folder that I have created on the 250 unless I log on as QSECOFR. and access QIBM. I presume that this is a problem with file shares but in Ops navigator, I can only see the basic operations and cannot see the File Systems On my other V5R1 system, I cannot see the file systems from the same PC. I certainly used to be able to before it crashed. I didn't get a chance with the 250 because the PC crashed before I could try.

Please could someone remind me what to do.
