QMNSBS sounded familiar... now I see why.

This is an excellent point to emphasize for the archives. IBM not only allows 
retrieval of the source, but there are references telling why it might be done. 
And that implies sites (customers) have been doing it for years.

When a significant number of customers are doing it, IBM finds it much harder 
to take away in later releases without (1) announcement AND (2) replacement. 
That makes it more comfortable to include in production work because you have a 
very good chance of it being permanent even if undocumented.

Getting the word spread from someone such as Simon might eventually cause IBM 
irritation, but it sure helps the rest of us.
