SQL can connect to multiple databases, and if you are using the indexing 
and SQE correctly, the views loose appeal quickly.  Stored procedures set 
up as services accomplish security.  It occurs to me that you just gave 
one of the best arguments for an SOA environment that I can think of. Link 
applications together with services and forget where and what time zone 
the service is running from.  End of problem, and massive change to i5/OS. 
 Not to suggest that IBM should abandon any ideas of implementing some of 
the topics Bruce discussed earlier of course.....
