Not possible I'm afraid.

The idea of a multi-format logical breaks the RDB theorems SQL works on.

Heck if I remember right, you can't even do a select against a DDS
defined multi-format logical.

Union only works if all the columns are the same format, (or at least
compatible) so I wouldn't call that "multi-format"
