Re: Specify null parameter for SQL UDF

For the record, here's what I ended up doing that works. My service program has two separate procedures with the following prototypes:
d AccountingMonth... d pr 10i 0 d amDate d 
d  amDateNull                    5i 0
d  amResultNull                  5i 0
d AccountingMonthNull... d pr 10i 0 And the SQL to create the functions is: 

create function UTLIB/ACCOUNTINGMONTH (date) returns integer
language RPGLE parameter style GENERAL WITH NULLS not deterministic no SQL called on null input no external action external name 'UTLIB/SVCBUS(ACCOUNTINGMONTH)'; create function UTLIB/ACCOUNTINGMONTH () returns integer language RPGLE parameter style GENERAL WITH NULLS not deterministic no SQL called on null input no external action external name 'UTLIB/SVCBUS(ACCOUNTINGMONTHNULL)'; This allows me to use either AccountingMonth(datefield) or AccountingMonth() in SQL.
