CLI ET2000's can be setup at the home office for DHCP and pre-configured
to access your corporate iSeries. Does not do SSL so I would recommend
supplying a VPN router preconfigured to attached to your corporate
network, one that supports an Ethernet WAN connection to DSL or Cable
modem with DHCP and PPPoE connections. Linksys makes a router with a
VPN endpoint and 4 Ethernet LAN connections. They may have an eight
port version or you will need a second Ethernet switch. Say away from
hubs, they are more trouble than you want to know.

The CLI ET2000's are just little boxes you attach a keyboard and VGA
monitor to. You can pick them up used too.

Subject: Thin Client Solution for Cheap Skates(frugal customers)

Looking for a VERY cheap solution at a remote site.

The customer wants NO pc's.

They want "about" four terminals and one printer.

They will have access to DSL(at some level).

What's a cheap solution as far as:

(1) routers,hubs,etc,etc.
(2) terminals
(3) printers (low end laser probably)

Remember NO pc's... will need a thin client solution that does not
require rocket science at the user end.
