What do you mean "convert"?
If you just want to load your profiles and libs, I would stay at 5.3 (making the
difference between the 2 boxes the fewest skipped releases possible),
load your stuff,
then upgrade to 5.4 and apply ptfs.
Your 5.3 should be current before starting.
Since v4.4 to 5.3 not a supported jump, I am assuming you are
loading individial parts (profiles, libraries, system values, etc) in separate steps?
I normally do not try a rstcfg if not a supported jump.
Read the "memo to users" for each release your are skipping first,
and be very careful of the initial security & sst profile setup. Assume nothing!

Thanks for the reply Paul,

What is the old box? I'd make sure I've got all the PTF's then go to V4R5.
Put on those PTF's, then to V5R2. Then you can jump to 5.3 or 5.4

The old box is a 150 so I can't install V4R5

Thank you,

Going from v4r4 to v5r3 or 4

I have a new 520 being shipped tomorrow with v5r3. I have an old box
running v4r4. Does anyone know if I should load v5r4 on the 520 before
trying to convert from v4r4?

Does anyone know how to convert from v4r4 to v5r3 or 4?

Thank you,

Gary Kuznitz
