Only thing I can imagine is that it helped with not having to use two lines
to seperate the code.

a) Every emulation software that I've seen has two options, 27x132 and
24x80.  I've never seen a 27x180... where did you find that?

b) The size of the display doesn't have any impact on the size of the
command you can run with STRPCCMD, does it?

Can you explain how changing the display size helped you?  I have a
feeling that you're talking about something completely different.
