Thank you Simon.  I assume that if I APYPTF again as a *PERM then the 
renamed files go bye-bye?

Now, not only do I need to delete left over save files from some releases 
ago, but now I also have to look for stream files with ./PTF-ID PRD-ID 
PRD-OPT RLS-MOD LOD-ID OPT/SEQ on the end?  Yee haw!
