If you mean you are running, say, a VB app using ODBC, yes, you can call a 
stored procedure and get records in the result set(s) from the iSeries. If you 
mean to get data that is on a PC, like in SQL Server, I think you'd need to use 
JDBC, called from your RPG, perhaps, because CLI depends on the DRDA stuff that 
you set up with WRKRDBDIRE. Now if you are talking DB2 on the PC, you can use 
CLI.
