If you are that interested, I can find out. I was working at MS when this 
happened in the late 1990s. The "campus" being referred to was about 30 minutes 
north of Redmond in a town called Canyon Creek. It was where we manufactured 
all of our packaged products, including CDs and documentation.  We sold it to a 
Japanese firm as I recall and then paid them as a customer. The firm also was 
able to use the facility for non-Microsoft products since they now owned it. It 
is also correct that employees at the facility could either go with the new 
firm or seek employment via another position at Microsoft.
