You can now restore to a system with the same disk configuration, or with
more or larger spindles.  No longer effective really, although gets spool
pre V5R4.

SAVSTG is like a byte dump.  Useful only if you have exactly the same
configuration:  number and type of disk drives, etc.  Restores much faster
than go save 21 and all of it's ensuing steps to restore.

My belief is that it's only used by a few customers correctly.  However
these are the types of customers that buy 2,000 exactly identical boxes
from IBM so when they say "sh!t" IBM squats and asks "what color"?

Do have a SAVE 21. Have enough storage.
Only 48% used out of aprox 28GB.

Btw: what's the difference between SAVE 21 and 'save storage' ?
