Before you go too crazy with the plug-unplug thing make sure that your QUPSDLYTIM isn't set at 0 or you'll get an immediate PWRDWNSYS when you pull the cable. Make sure it's set MUCH higher than the amount of time you expect the cable to be unplugged!
