Well I've not tried this but I think you could remove them from the ASP. Then they only have SLIC on them and no way to get anything else there.

How can I permanently keep data from being stored on my load source drive?

I have mirrored 35GB load source drives on the base I/O controller in the
CEC with mirrored drawers, high-speed controllers and 145GB drives for the
rest of the disk configuration. To achieve the best disk performance, the
thought is to have no data other than that needed for IPL and image catalogs
stored on the load source drives so that the production I/O is all handled
by the high speed controllers instead of the slow base controller. I have
done a STRASPBAL *ENDALC UNIT(1) and a STRASPBAL *MOVDTA to move the data
off the load source drive and want to follow up with a STRASPBAL *USAGE but
I think this will include the load source drive and thus data will once
again be stored on this drive. Comments?

Kind regards,

Brian
