The eServer iSeries included various servers - one of which was the i5. It belonged to the iSeries family..

Are you unaware of the plethora of tools that can present a GUI or web
interface to a user withOUT 5250 requirements? System i5 has a legacy (yes)
of 5250, but it is not the only user interface any more.

And, can you define "these name changes"? The AS/400 was introduced in 1988, the iSeries in 2000, the System i5 in 2006. 18 years is a long time in IT,
and the System i5 is significantly different than an AS/400.
