Any firewall software will cause this problem including native windows XP.
The VPN Software requires return communication to validate your connection.
If you add your VPN software to the exceptions list in your firewall program
allowing in/out communication then it should work.

It's possible that zone alarm might have something to do with it too.

Ever since I refreshed my copy of ZA, I have to disable it to launch
VPN.  As soon as i connect, I can relaunch ZA without problems.
