In my experience, I've found NFS to perform much better than /QNTC. (QNTC has always been very slow for me.)

I'm not familiar with NetApps, so I won't be much help there.

Does anybody have any experience with the Iseries mapping to a NETAPPS file
share? I have always heard that NFS is a performance nightmare, is this
true? This NETAPPS solution has already been implemented in production at
our site and is now causing issues with our daily batch runs.
