I am no expert, but I highly recommend the Tripp products.  I use them here
and they've been quite effective.  I had to move the unit to a different
outlet and my network never even burped.  However, the UPS port on the i5
boxes is NOT accessible via i5/OS.  The only workaround I've found so far is
to use my Wintel server box to monitor the UPS.
