Kinda OT: Moving a flat file from AS400 to MSSQL Server via DTS

Hi All,

 

Has anyone had any experience with transforming the data from within a
text file located on an AS400 to an MSSQL server?

 

My MSSQL server keeps failing when it tries to retrieve the file.  I
know it is because I cannot assign the username/password that runs the
DTS package.  I have checked the AS/400 and set up the appropriate file
shares to allow a Windows system to access it.  However, the AS/400
still requires a username and password to access the share.

 

Any ideas?
