RE: Old-timer's disease moment

There are a couple of ways.  TEST(DE) followed by IF %ERROR will accomplish
this.  Using MONITOR and ON-ERROR will also work.  Which you use depends on
how frequently you think the error will occur.

How do I test the value in a YYYYMMDD data field to ensure that it will be a
valid date being placed into a date data type field (*ISO) format? If 
it's not valid, I want to trap it and place my null value into the field.
