Great. Thanks to all who responded. I'll do some investigating.

Thanks,

Hi Brian,

What you see from Windows Network Neighborhood are directories that have
been "shared" to the network. Any folder on you iSeries can be shared,
and
would appear to WNN as a root level directory. You need to use iSeries
Navigator to see where the share points in your IFS. That path would be
used in FTP to locate the folder.

FTP supports two naming formats on the iSeries. Naming format 0
indicates
that you are using QSYS library naming conventions, and that your
current
library is QGPL. Naming format 1 allows you to access the IFS file
system,
which is similar to the file systems used by Unix (and variants),
Windows,
etc....

Subject: FTP Changing local directory

Hi All,

I'm wondering if someone can help me with the syntax for changing to a
local directory on our AS/400? When I check the directory through
Windows Network Neighborhood, I have a directory located in \\QSPS\AFON
<file:///\\QSPS\AFON> . When I use the FTP command in the AS/400, how
do I change to this local directory? When I just type LCD, it tells me
that the current local working directory is QGPL.

Can someone please give me the proper syntax for moving into the AFON
directory?

Thank you!

Brian.
