Tim,

The following CL should do it for you.

CHKOBJ OBJ(library/sourcefile) OBJTYPE(*FILE) MBR(membername)
MONMSG MSGID(CPF9815) EXEC(nomember)
MONMSG MSGID(CPF9801) EXEC(nofile)
MONMSG MSGID(CPF9810) EXEC(nolib)

The "nomember" in the MONMSG statement for message ID CPF9815 would be
executed if the member did NOT exist. The other MONMSG statements check for
a non-existent source file (CPF9801) or a non-existent library (CPF9810).
There are probably some other errors you could check for, but this should
give you a start.

Hope this helps!
Richard

Subject: Source PF member exists?

What's the easiest way to check, that a source PF member does not exists? I
have a source code tool, that creates source code on the fly, but I don't
want it to overwrite any existing code, by accident.

Thanks, Tim
