I would agree with Ed on reading before changing. In this particular shop
I am a programmer only, and Operations make their own decision
with no warning. They have to set the sys val back & ipl mid-morning.
I have forwarded Ed's recommend to them.
We did find the big gotcha was that earlier versions of Client Access
do not support password level 2. That was why some could sign on and others
could not.

The results you are seeing are not unusual. I suggest you read the section
on Planning Password Level Changes in Chapter 7 of the Security Reference
manual. Be sure to also read the sections on changing it from 0 to 2 and
changing it to a lower level before you make any more changes. Good luck.
