We use Telnet SSL and OWA so people do not need VPN.  Any documents they
need can be place in an off line folder and sync back up when in the
office.  Sure keep people out of your network away from the office where
they use public connections that are too easily sniffed.

What I am trying to decide is if I can use Telnet with SSL instead of
through the VPN.  Combining that with Outlook using RPC over HTTP then
I don't need the VPN much.
