Hi Guy

As others have mentioned there is the iText java package, or the PDF
ToolKit (PDFTK) which is based on iText. I've used PDFTK on Windows &
Linux and found it very useful (you can add security options too -
password protection etc).

If you want a commercial option try @riadne software's CoolSpools -
http://www.ariadnesoftware.co.uk/CoolSpools.htm It converts iSeries
reports to PDF (amongst other formats) and lets you convert and merge
at the same time, or merge any other PDFs held on the IFS. I had just
started down the route of using PDFTK on a Linux server, driven by
iSeries requests, when this functionality was added, so it saved me
the effort ;)
