Re: Fax/400 slow & high call failure rate on V5R3 with internal modems

We have a 520 running FAX400 with the 4-port internal modem and have seen
this problem.
Our average times are about 30-45 seconds per call with 1-2 pages.
The only time we see high fax times or call duration is for large faxes.

Are you sending complex AFP documents? Do you have enough memory allocated
to the fax subsystem?
Are you able to get faxes to your local fax, and do they come out okay, and
in a decent timeframe?
Is there maybe some communications problems going on? Is there any other
information in the job log along with FAXC708? I saw where there was a PTF
addressing FAXC708 issues, but it's been a while back.
