There is 3rd party software that captures what kind of load on system by different people and applications for purposes of budgeting expenses to the different depts. I do not know the technical name for that.

You could have some program that runs in the wee hours to copy the relevant DSPLOG lines from prior day date into some data base, formatted as a file / table from which the controller can get meaningful reports.

Look at the User Profiles ... it may be that EVERYONE is setup with a FIRST PROGRAM ... in our case it is BPCSMENU ... that program could be modified to CALL or SBMJOB some program that records info on who signed on when ... you can't get how they exited this way.

I have a current interest in this where I'd like to know what the volume of usage is over various different ways people can connect to the system, (since there are some management concerns about the phone line costs) ... local twinax, remote communications, virtual PCs etc. so the proposed addition would use the work station id of the user to look up some variable of WRKCFGSYS data to say "Oh this user is connecting from whatever site" If "that" user is not based at that site, then we caught another instance of "that" user needs to change their password.

Greetings List,

I have a controller at one of our division wanting to know when his
employees sign on and off the system. The only idea I have right now on
how to do this is to scan the job log for a date range and look for the
appropriate CPF codes. Does any have a better idea on how this might be
accomplished? We have a 720 running V5R3.

Thanks,

Terry
