By "job log" do you mean QHST?  I would scan through that looking for all
CPF1124 (Job started) messages that reference QINTER and CPF1164 (Job
completed) messages that have a matching job number/user/name.

As an alternative, you could modify your users INLPGM to log the time they
sign on and then create a wrapper for the SIGNOFF command to log the time
they sign off.  I've done this in the past without any problems.

Greetings List,

I have a controller at one of our division wanting to know when his
employees sign on and off the system. The only idea I have right now on
how to do this is to scan the job log for a date range and look for the
appropriate CPF codes. Does any have a better idea on how this might be
accomplished? We have a 720 running V5R3.
