I have added memory to our 170's and 820's. Generally you have to add
in pairs or quads if using a memory doublers. It is no different than
adding to your PC, (Just more expensive). Same care and handling.

Just make sure that the memory is compatible with your processor.

Subject: Used Memory in an 810?

I just saw some memory listed on eBay and was considering adding it to
our
810. I have never actually tried to add memory to the iSeries, but it
does not look too difficult.

Are there any references available as to which slots can be used,
configurations, etc?

Have any of you attempted this on your own, or should we only let IBM do
it?

Any input will be appreciated!
