I've seen one go from Installed to Unknown. It happened when another group
of PTFs (not an official 'group', just a bunch of pre/coreqs dealing with
that LICPGM) was installed. This happened with SF99285 - WEBSPHERE APP
SERVER V5.1 (BASE/DEV. EDITION) on our boxes. My hunch is that if I were
to reload/apply that group CD it would probably fix the status, just a
guess though.

But these groups put on maybe 6 months ago, and system ipl's weekly.
Groups were loaded from cd (not web download or web to pc to iSeries).
Also, Service Agent is flaky on this box since the beginning. It will run
ok
sometimes, but have never been able to order ptfs thru sndptford (via vpn),
yet sometime Svc Agt will download a ptf & notify qsysopr.
Just have not had time to debug and resolve. I am assuming once a group
is loaded & installed, it's status does not change.

What does the WRKPTFGRP screen status not installed "really" mean (i read
the help text...)?
I know on this machine I did install SF99503 (database) at same time other
groups installed (and no errors in ptf menu opt 50 dsplog). Option 5 from
below screen shows some ptfs installed and some not.
No new products or options added since last ptf group install.
Getting ready to bring this server up to date and wondering what's going
on...

PTF Group Level Status
SF99530 5102 Installed
SF99529 49 Installed
SF99503 5 Not installed
SF99298 13 Not installed
