Hi Peter

knowing more about what you are trying to accomplish might provide some other alternatives but off hand I can only think of a couple of options.

SAVSECDTA will only save all profiles so you will not be able to save and restore a group of user profiles by specifying the criteria in the save operation.

However, it would be possible to use DSPUSRPRF specifying an outfile to create a file that you could then query or CPYF into a file that contained only user profiles meeting your ACGCDE criteria. You could then simply write a program that restored only the profiles you wanted using the RSTUSRPRF command. You would still need to do a SAVSECDTA and run/write your program to point at the appropriate device when doing the restore.

Whether this is worth the effort or not will chiefly depend (I guess) on whether you want to retain the password, otherwise it may well be just as simple to create the profiles from the DSPUSRPRF output. Either way the program is pretty similar.

Hi list!

Is there a way to save to a *SAVF all user ids that have a specific
accounting group (ACGCDE)?

TIA
