I take back everything I said nice about this whole PTF process <wry
grin>.

Actually, I guess it's not the end of the world.  But my box was shipped
with the IPL value (DSPIPLA) of KEYLOCK=*MANUAL.  This has caused some
dissension at IBM, since this is not a valid setting, and indeed you
cannot set it to that using CHGIPLA.  However, the help text recognizes
the setting, so I'm very confused (as are they).

In any event, the upshot of this is that if you have a machine set like
that, immediately change it, as it will not IPL correctly until you do.
