Yes, you'll get the screen, but not until later on in the backup. You'll
get a screen for the ENDSBS *ALL that you'll have to confirm/submit, a
screen for the SAVSYS you'll have to confirm/submit, and then a SAVLIB
screen that you'll have to change the options on in order to omit the libs
(and afterwards screens to confirm/submit the commands for SAVDLO and SAV
and to restart the controlling SBS). In betweet the screens will be the
corresponding delays while that part of the process actually runs. Here's
a screenshot of where the omit parms are on the SAVLIB:

Where does this show up on the screen? If I say Y on prompt for
commands, is that how I'll get the screen that lets me type in
the libraries to be omitted?

The libraries to be omitted are put in the OMITLIB parameter.

Hi,

I have to do an option 21 savsys tonight before a hardware shutdown
and move on Friday. There are some data libraries

we back up every night and therefore don't need to include in the save. I
know there's a way to omit libraries from this

backup and you do it by prompting it somehow, but for the life of me I
can't
remember the how to sequence.

Can anyone help me out?

TIA,

Cherie
