RCVSAVF is really a save file.  From the WRKOBJ screen:

Opt  Object      Type      Library     Attribute   Text
     RCVSAVF     *FILE     JAMES       SAVF

I'm logged via ftp with the same user profile as that which owns RCVSAVF (i.e. JAMES). User JAMES has *ALL authority to file RCVSAVF. I tried using (replace with no better results. Yes, I'm in binary mode.
