I am on Model 170 with V5R1

I am periodically checking stuff like
* WRKACTJOB F4 F10 response time 0.1 sequence *RSP to see who with what work is getting worst response time & *PRINT 
* WRKSBSJOB QINTER F4 to *PRINT
* DSPJOBTBL F4 *PRINT
* I put all the *PRINT in an OUTQ with User Data changed to date time stamp, for later comparison * There was other stuff in the thread I not done yet, but while futzing with this the problem been getting less worse ... I'd say what is real bad right now is "communications connection go to sleep"
