Yes there is that. If you have no HMC on the box then they are kept in sync when you shut down OS/400 and reIPL. With the HMC you do need to Accept. However in my experience once the new level is prove for a week or so we Accept soon after that. Having had issues where "T" got smoked it's good to have "P" available at the same level.
