I am looking to upgrade our 3581 LTO-2 tape drive to an LTO-3 drive. For cost
justification I want to re-use the 3581 on our Windows Server. The 3581 has
the SCSI-LVD interface and I will probably use the same on the LTO-3 for cost
savings.

Has anyone ever used an IBM 3581 SCSI-LVD LTO-2 tape drive on anything but an
iSeries after being used on an iSeries?

I do not want to test while the 3581 is in production just in case it fries the
drive. I have older Windows server that I can risk using and the SCSI-LVD card
for them is not super expensive. Might even have one or two lying around.

Question 2, is the IBM SCSI-LVD 160 MB or 320 MB? My gut says it is the slower
interface. It is attached to a 6502 card.

Thanks
